I received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 1985, (focused in studio art-painting and printmaking,) from what is now called University of Massachusetts in North Dartmouth, (formerly Southeastern Massachusetts Technological University then later Southeastern Massachusetts University.) As soon as I had the sheepskin I left the poverty of New Bedford, Massachusetts behind. I've been a Californian since 1985, when I moved here to pursue a career in bodybuilding. A few years later I had a major crash on my motorcycle and that effectively ended my bodybuilding career (and gave me a couple near-death experiences) but I still love the gym and go often.
